Here is the full list via Google Maps of all the cities and restaurants that we visited during Croatia Yacht Week 2020.

Early Morning Stroll

Because we were in a slightly bigger village, I went for an early morning walk to explore the town and get some steps and photos. Similar to most of our villages, each of them is very quiet in the morning with the old men and me awake in the town. The town is very charming and I had some excellent photos!

Spicy Breakfast

After my lovely morning stroll, I returned to a freshly made, warm shakshuka, an Israeli dish made with peppers, onions, tomato sauces, and spices with poached eggs. In London, this is one of our favorite breakfast dishes so we were thrilled when Helen made it! The whole crew enjoyed it and apparently it is really easy to make, but I’ll let the professionals continue to make it for me…

Oh Happy Sailing

Similar to the previous days, the sailing has been one of our favorite things to do! Today’s sail is quite long as we sailed from Hvar Island to the opposite side of the island of Brac to Supetar. In the end, we had a terrific sailing day with clear skies and smooth seas!

Lunch and Swim

After a long sailing day, we arrived at our lunch and swim spot where we had the beach and cove to ourselves! We were in a pretty, little cove and I swam from shore to shore just seeing if I could find any sea life or anything interesting. Which, I did not! Oh well, I enjoyed the lovely blue water swims!

Sailing and swimming

Just keep swimming

For our lunch, Helen make curry sausage rolls with stuffed peppers. I think Helen wanted to fatten us up as she keeps making bread or breaded items for lunch! Either way, we loved the sausage rolls dipped in this great German mustard. When I swam after lunch, it helped me float in the water!

Arriving in Supetar

Because Supetar is across the bay from Split, not many tourists come here. Rather, they go to the south of the island to the more popular village of Bol. Thus, we had the entire marina to ourselves! Rather than explore the town, we wanted to stay on the boat and enjoy the last few hours on our boat. Well, except I heard there was great ice cream so obviously I had to leave the boat!

Konoba Pizzeria Kala

Located off the beaten path, hidden from the typical views, Konoba Pizzeria Kala is a special gem in Supetar. Family owned like most of the places we have been, the restaurant was empty except for our table. The restaurant has a really great vibe to it as it is mostly open air seating and it was a great night.

The menu looked terrific, but MF and I weren’t as hungry compared to the crew who ordered the full menu. We sat back and relaxed under the stars as we kicked back local wine and enjoyed our meal. For our dinner, MF and I ordered and split crab and ricotta ravioli and then the grilled john dory with truffles. Oh yummy! To top off our amazing evening, the restaurant gifted us this fantastic chocolate lava cake with mint ice cream. Wow, it was a great place!

The UnChartered Summary

Supetar is super! Between a great swimming and sailing day and the great food, we enjoyed our little village away!

  • If one needs an escape from Split, Supetar is a great place for a day trip. There is a huge beach, a water park, and places to rent water sports equipment.
  • I highly recommend Konoba Pizzeria Kala, located off the beaten path but not too far from the ferry terminal.
