FY2018 Travel Plans

In 2018, my travel plans are big and mostly in Europe! One of my favorite travel planning news segments growing up was "Where in the World is Matt Laurer". Not necessarily for the reporting or person, but the idea that an entire country was watching and wondering where he was that morning. While most people will wonder where I am on any given weekend, Mary Frances and I always have a very detailed conversation regarding our travel plans in the next six months so we know well in-advance where we will be. Since FY2018 has begun, I started to research and book the  - Where in the World will we go next?[divider class="" ] [tp-custom-map id="585" width="100%" height="300px"]

Zurich, Switzerland

When we first started this secondment, one of our first travel goals was skiing the Alps. Once we were settled in, we both had a "gap" between jobs in January. Plus, it is my birthday trip!(Skiing in Dubai)

United Kingdom

Since it is cold and rainy everywhere, we are exploring our new homeland!(View of from my kitchen)

United Kingdom

If you thought January was bad, February could be worse.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter

Obviously, with Mary Frances' being a huge HP fan, this was one of her main goals. Happy Valentine's Day!(https://www.wbstudiotour.co.uk/home)

United Kingdom / to be planned!

Paris & Normandy

Over Easter weekend, we will be traveling to one of my favorite places in the world, Normandy, with Mary Frances' family!

[divider class="" ]April:

Paris

Yes, I will be in Paris in back to back weekends. Never a bad idea! I signed up for the Paris Marathon on 8 April so I am either a lucky or unlucky fellow!

Amsterdam

Matthew joins me across the pond for ten days and we begin our trip in Amsterdam!

Hamilton!

I FINALLY get to see Hamilton in West End! This show is mainly why Matthew and Kristen decided to come here.

Slovenia & Italy

When we were deciding where to go for a long weekend, it seemed like my choices were falling out. Either too long or too expensive, I finally fell for one of my top choices - Slovenia!!

Tuscany, Italy

When I told Mary Frances about Slovenia, she became jealous and wanted her preferred trip to Italy. It was the quickest planning to booking time - less than 24 hours!

Normandy

Similar to March, I will be guiding my parents through the lovely green pastures of Normandy.

#GreekYachtWeek

Back in the fall, I began organizing a Greek Yacht week with friends. It should be extremely fun!

[divider class="" ]July:

Finland and Estonia

After reading about Estonia on travel websites, I really wanted to visit the hidden and off-the-beaten track of Tallin. [divider class="" ]

The second half of FY2018 is still in the research and development stage but here are my initial thoughts on the back half of 2018.
